Workplace Investigations

The Workplace Institute has delivered workplace investigation courses to hundreds of Human Resources and other professionals engaged in workplace investigations across Canada. The courses teach the skills necessary to conduct rigorous workplace investigations that will withstand scrutiny. They use recent case studies from the workplace world.  They cover how to effectively plan a workplace investigation, conduct thorough interviews, assess evidence fairly and write clear and concise investigative reports.

We also cover how to investigate in an unionized environment, manage confidentiality issues and allegations of reprisal, as well as discuss best practices when dealing with whistleblowers.

The courses are accredited for CPD by Human Resources professional associations and Law Societies across Canada. Check out the courses here:

The Workplace Institute designs and delivers customized workplace investigation courses for private and public sector organizations. The courses include a scenario, tailored to the client’s workplace, which is used for exercises throughout the course.

Our courses focus on the practical – using real life examples to deal with the complexities and challenges of investigating in the workplace.

Whether you are looking for a valuable refresher for experienced Human Resources and internal workplace investigators, or a comprehensive investigative guide for the less seasoned we can help you ensure your workplace investigations are well executed and will stand up to scrutiny.
